Program
About
The Senior Representative Program is the highest level a player can represent Illawarra District Netball
Association (IDNA). Seniors Representative teams compete in Netball NSW competitions held in Metro
Sydney and across NSW.
There are 3 main Netball NSW competitions in which Illawarra enters Senior Representative teams:

Netball NSW Senior State Titles
Court Craft Summer Series
Dooleys Metro League

IDNA commits to providing each of these teams with an appropriate qualified Coaching team to support the
players throughout their Senior Representative experience.
Senior State Titles –
15’s, 17’s, Opens & Mens
Teams are eligible to participate in Regional League – South Coast Division. Entry into this competition will be at the discretion of the Coaching team.
There are a limited number of Carnivals that can be anywhere within NSW and they generally commence at 8.30am requiring attendance by all participants from as early as 7am and finish around 4pm.
Entry into these Carnivals will be at the discretion of the Coaching team.
Summer Series
The Court Craft Summer Series provides IDNA players with an exciting opportunity to compete at a high level during the off-season. Organised by Netball NSW, this series is played at Netball Central, Sydney Olympic Park from October to December, bringing together strong competition from across the state.

The Opens divisions are non-training teams, with matches held on Tuesday and Thursday nights, while the 17s divisions compete on Monday nights. The Court Craft Summer Series is a valuable pathway experience, allowing players to continue developing their game, gain exposure to elite environments, and represent Illawarra Netball
on a broader stage.
Dooleys Metro League
Dooleys Metro League is one of the premier netball competitions in New South Wales, delivering high-performance, week-in and week-out competition for the state’s most talented players, coaches, umpires and administrators.

The competition is played at Netball Central, Sydney Olympic Park, across three nights each week, with teams contesting 18 rounds plus Finals. Metro League features six divisions, each made up of 10 teams, providing a strong, competitive environment and an important pathway opportunity for those aspiring to progress within the Netball NSW and elite performance pathways.

The Representative Liaison Officer provides guidance and support across all aspects of the program, including nominations, trials, selections, program expectations and general pathways. This role helps ensure clear communication, consistency and a positive experience for everyone involved throughout the representative journey.

This allows your question to be appropriately managed and ensures timely support for our players, families and clubs as they progress through the IDNA representative and development pathways.
